Jeremy’s legal career began as a law clerk for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Attorney where he assisted and learned from deputy district attorneys how to prepare a case for trial, draft motions, and be a courtroom attorney. As a deputy district attorney in Mono County, Jeremy prosecuted individuals charged with misdemeanor offenses ranging from DUI’s, theft offenses, burglary, forgery, assault and battery, domestic violence, vehicle code violations, and drug offenses. He learned to think like a prosecutor, investigate, develop, prepare and prosecute a case, the value of a case, how to settle and negotiate cases, and sharpened his trial skills conducting both felony and misdemeanor jury trials.
Using his experience as a deputy district attorney, he opened his own law office and utilized his skills to provide legal services as a contract public defender for qualifying Inyo County clients. His experience as a public defender afforded him the opportunity to defend many clients in a range of criminal cases from minor offenses like being drunk in public to serious and violent strike offenses. Jeremy has brought his prosecutorial knowledge and criminal defense expertise to Liebersbach, Carney, & Reed to expertly represent and defense all those charged with offenses in Mono County.
